Third Floor Progress

For the last month much has been happening inside our former ruin in Castelo de Vide. The former interior structure has been removed, new stairs and floors built with electrical and plumbing rough in complete. The last step is a finish coat of plaster throughout.

The original room had quite high ceilings and a very large fireplace. Adding height to the floors below reduced the height and the fireplace was rebuilt due to structural issues with the original, see photo below:

With the third floor accessible from the new stairs we can not see how the new living room might look.

In 3 days I am on my way back to monitor the progress, select and buy light fixtures and tiles. The finish floor on the second and third levels needs to be selected, and plumbing fixtures installed. This old structure is getting proper plumbing and electrical outlets for the first time.
