On my first Camino as soon as I entered the region of Galicia it began to rain. In Galicia everything is lush, bright green, and damp… feels a lot like home.
The day’s walk took us through more vineyards and along the highway on dirt (mud) paths. The grapes were ready for harvest, sweet and plump, we had to taste them to be sure.
We arrived in Caldas de Reis at The Hotel Sena. The hotel was full of pilgrims, and we all looked ready for warmth and dry clothes. From the name of the town I expected a nicer place. There is a small picturesque bridge near the largest Albergue, so enjoy the small square before heading off to Padron.
